Neighborhood Tavern Rolls Out Special Beer Pairings for One Week
ATLANTA (October 16, 2012) - Georgia is home to multiple breweries, making Atlanta the prime location to celebrate these local beers. From Saturday, October 20 through Saturday, October 27, Atkins Park Tavern in Virginia-Highland is offering a special beer menu featuring Georgia-brewed beers for Atlanta Beer Week. In celebration of the week, Executive Chef Andrew Smith has created a special dish to pair with each of the beers.
Guests can choose from the following pairings:
· Beer cheese soup: garlic croutons, house bacon and scallions ($4/$6). Paired with SweetWater 420 ($5).
· Tuna tatake sliders: pickled red onions, teriyaki mayonnaise ($8). Paired with Monday Night Fu Manbrew ($5.50).
· Braised pork belly and grilled pork tenderloin: Meyer lemon risotto, local arugula ($16). Paired with Terrapin Hopsecutioner ($5.50).
· Coffee-smoked duck breast: sweet potato and duck confit hash, cipollini onions ($18). Paired with Red Hare Coffee Cream Stout ($5.50).
