Cousins Properties signs new restaurants, shops at Emory Point as fall openings near

Cousins Properties Incorporated has signed three new restaurants and two new shops at the $100+ million Emory Point project being developed with Gables Residential. The new leases are with Burgerfi, Bonefish Grill, Paradise Biryani Pointe, LOFT and Francesca’s Collections.

Burgerfi’s Emory Point location will be its Atlanta debut. The Florida-headquartered, casual restaurant is based on the hamburger stands of the 1950s and 1960s with a modern twist: it only serves all-natural, grass-fed beef with no chemical or additives. It incorporates best practices for operating a sustainable business with environmentally-friendly furniture and a recycling program for oil, cardboard, bottles and cans.

Bonefish Grill, Paradise Biryani Pointe, LOFT and Francesca’s Collections are well-known national brands with other locations in the metro area. Emory Point is now 82 percent committed. The shops, restaurants and other services are expected to begin opening in November.

Other retailers, restaurants and professional services previously announced at Emory Point by Cousins include: fab’rik, Lizard Thicket, American Threads, The General Muir, La Tagliatella, Jazmin Spa, JoS. A. Bank Clothiers, Marlow’s Tavern, Tin Lizzy’s and CVS, among others.

On Clifton road, right across from the CDC. It will help make that area even more congested.

Hi. It is indeed just across from the CDC and down the road from Emory. Here are other articles we've had on this development.

It is exciting to have more businesses without having to travel miles. However, the traffic on Clifton is often at a stand-still throughout the day. All intersections on Briarcliff, Johnson, Shepherd, leading to Emory/CDC are a nighmare. First Transit parks university buses, charter school buses and all the Emory buses on Johnson and Zonolite. These buses come and go all day. GSU, GA Tech, Kipp charter buses are in and out at least 4 times a day. Most buses are only parked on Zonolite and not transporting students in the Emory area. All going down Johnson Road - turning it into a highway.
Although, the development is adding fun shops, the added buses, trucks and cars are changing the communities at the bottom of the hill (Sage Hill). Did I mention the thieves who frequent our communities? They are becomming permanent residents because they follow the money. Police is not responsive to move them out.
Please pay attention to your neighbors and add to the communities around Emory. We are not just a pass-through.

The proposed MARTA line from Lindbergh to Emory to Decatur should be a transportation priority so Emory and CDC employees can commute by train instead of by car.
