Atlanta Book Exchange To Close Next Month
Midtown eco-friendly boutique to move into space by Labor Day
Book lovers are mourning the loss of one of Atlanta's greatest book shops.
The Atlanta Book Exchange will close its doors for good on July 5, according to an employee at the store.
The Re-Inspiration Store, an eco-friendly boutique in West Midtown, will take over the space by Labor Day, according to store owner Brooke Schultz.
"We feel like our demographic and loyal customers are in Virginia-Highland and the Inman Park area," Schultz said Wednesday.
A 50-percent off sale on all items at the Atlanta Book Exchange will begin June 25 and run through July 5.
The Atlanta Book Exchange is located at 591 N Highland Ave. near Manuel's Tavern. Store hours: Monday- Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
