Atlanta Police Release Video of Fire Marshal Impersonator Who Made Off with $900
The man pretended to be a fire safety inspector of several restaurants in Lenox Square, and charged them $300 fees.
The Atlanta Police Department released surveillance video on Monday of the suspect who impersonated a fire marshal and demanded fees from three restaurants in Lenox Mall, making off with $900.
On Jan. 3 from about 4 to 5:40 p.m., the suspect, a white male who was wearing a blue jacket with white stripes, presented himself as an inspector with the Atlanta Fire Department and demanded $300 each from Subway, Great Wraps and Which 'Wich in the Lenox Square food court after conducting an "inspection" of the restaurants' interiors.
