Crime Watch: Robbery at Piedmont Park, Help ID Suspects in Grant Park Shooting
Two men were arrested overnight in connection with an armed robbery of juveniles at Piedmont Park. In other crime news Tuesday, Atlanta Police released a video of the three men wanted in connection with a shooting death in Grant Park.
Atlanta police are seeking the public's help in identifying three men in a store surveillance video who are wanted for questioning in the July 26 shooting death of David McReynolds, a beloved resident of Grant Park.
"We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the people shown in this video in furtherance of this murder investigation," Atlanta police said in a statement.
McReynolds, 54, was found on the sidewalk in front of 799 Hill St. with an apparent bullet wound to his chest, police said.
Armed robbery of juveniles at Piedmont Park
Two men were arrested on armed robbery charges overnight in Midtown after allegedly being a part of a larger group that had robbed a pair of juveniles in nearby Piedmont Park, according to police
Atlanta Police Department Zone 5 officers responded to a pedestrian robbery call at the park around 11:45 p.m.
After receiving a description of the suspects and a general direction they had fled in, a subsequent canvass of “the midtown neighborhood” resulted in two of the five suspects being apprehended.
