If watching water polo during the Olympic games inspired you to jump into the pool and give it a try, the Emory women’s team has just the clinic for you.

The 1st Annual Emory Women’s Water Polo Community Clinic is designed to introduce the sport of water polo to the community. 

Participants will be taught and drilled in the basic skills of water polo such as swimming, treading, and passing. They will then run through a basic shooting game. 

There will also be a brief introduction to the rules of the game.

The clinic will be lead by Coach Neal Laxpati, who has coached the Emory women for five years. He has 13 years of water polo experience, which includes playing for the University of Southern California Men’s Club Team and the Georgia Tech Water Polo Men’s Club Team.

Participants are invited to watch the Emory University Alumni scrimmage between current and graduated members of the Emory water polo team directly after the clinic.

The clinic is set for Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Emory's Student Activity & Academic Center, 1946 Starvine Way.
