1. E-Recycling at Grady

When/Where:  Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Henry W. Grady High School, 929 Charles Allen Dr. NE

Why Go: Drop off your electronics the third Saturday of each month. Sponsored by Keep Atlanta Beautiful, Creative E Recycling and Midtown Neighbors' Association. 

Price: Free

2. The Sky Tonight

When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. at Fernbank Science Center, 156 Heaton Park Dr. NE

Why Go: A Fernbank Astronomer will lead you on a guided tour through the constellations, planets, and events of the current evening sky.

Price: Adults $4; Students $3; Seniors $3; Free admission for ASTC Passport members (with card), Friends of Fernbank members (with card), DeKalb School System employees (with id) and Planetary Society members.

3. Baba Wague Diaketes Pottery Exhibit

When/Where: Saturday, 4 to 6 p.m. at Gems of Africa Gallery, 630 N Highland Ave NE

Why Go: Artist Baba Wague Diaketes will be discussing his ceramics.  Visit the artists' website here.

Price: Free, Pre-registration required

4. Literary Event: June Akers Seese

When/Where: Sunday, 3 p.m. at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, 980 Briarcliff Rd. NE

Why Go: Hear June Akers Seese read excerpts from her fourth novel, "Whose Coffee Is It?"  The narrator explores the courtship and marriage of a psychiatrist's widow whose memories span 50 years and move from Hartford, Connecticut to Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Price: Free, Open to all

5. East Atlanta Beer Festival

When/Where: Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. at Brownwood Park, 607 Brownwood Ave. SE

Why Go: Enjoy over 170 craft beers.

Price: $35 in advance, $40 at the door (if available)
