It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.  Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and places to explore.

1. Field of Dreams Auction

When/Where: Friday, 6:30 p.m. at Graystone at Piedmont Park, 400 Park Dr. NE

Why Go: A fundraiser for Morningside Elementary School to renovate the playground.

2. The 36th Annual Atlanta Film Festival Opening Night – “L!fe Happens”

When/Where: Friday, 7 p.m. at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema, 931 Monroe Dr.

Why Go: Director Kat Coiro’s “L!fe Happens” will open the 36th annual Atlanta Film Festival. “L!fe Happens” is a comedy about three Los Angelenos  and what happens when a one-night-stands results in an unexpected pregnancy that stars Kysten Ritter (“Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23”, She’s Out of My League).

3. Orme Park Work Day

When/Where: Saturday, 9 a.m. at Orme Park 754 Brookridge Dr.

Why Go: In addition to moving the sand into the sand box, there will be a few other clean-up items to take care of. Boy Scout Troop 455 will join the clean-up. Bring your wheelbarrow from home.

4. A Culinary Tour de France

When/Where: Saturday, 7 p.m. at Le Giverny Bistro 1641 Clifton Rd.

Why Go: Discover French food and wine traditions. From the countryside of Alsace to the foothills of the Pyrenees, explore the ancient food and wine cultures of France's diverse regions.

5. Callanwolde Concert Band

When/Where: Sunday, 2 p.m. at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center 980 Briarcliff Rd.

Why Go: A concert of the Callanwolde Concert Band with Raymond Handfield, Conductor, as they perform a program of varied popular music in the classical tradition.

Price: $10; $5 for students, seniors and Atlanta Artscard and Atlanta Planit members
