Get Away from City Bustle in an Emory Oasis

Relax in the lushness of Lullwater Park

Each week, we’ll tell you about one great way to take a much deserved break and make life a little sweeter.

This week: Relax in the lushness of Lullwater Park

Located behind Emory's Clairmont Campus, Lullwater Park is a tranquil getaway — a retreat that feels private and far away from the familiar, though it's just footsteps away from urban activity.

With hiking trails, a pond, a waterfall, a cool decaying mill, rolling hills, lots of places to picnic and even a swinging bridge, Lullwater Park is a perfect place for a weekend wind-down or a rustic lunch right in the middle of your workday.

Stroll, bike or hike along the trails, feed the ducks and geese or just prop yourself against a tree with a good book; this spot delivers wooded mystery amid its paved paths.

Also home to the estate of Emory's president, the park can be entered from the Clairmont Campus or the Clifton Road entrance.

Lullwater Park is open during daylight hours and is handicap accessible, with free parking.

Lullwater Park is located at 1463 Clifton Rd. NE.
