Atlanta residents crowned their favorite burger last weekend at the Battle of the Burger contest in Virginia-Highland.
The Judges Choice Award and People's Choice Award for best burger went to Googie Burger, located in Centennial Olympic Park next to the Fountain of Rings.
Judges Choice Best Veggie Burger went to The Nook in Midtown.
Battle of the Burgers, an annual event held in John Howell Park, raises money for Embraced, an Atlanta nonprofit that donates gently used hospital equipment internationally to those in need.

Didnt make it to the event but went to Googie hearing that they swept the thing...and I was highly let down. Here is my yelp review so everyone knows I'm not just a hater.
