Last Chance: Mandala Exhibit at the Carlos
Exhibit ends April 15
Here are this week's Last Chance reminders. If you know of any closures or important deadlines this week, please let us know in comments.
Mandala Exhibit at the Carlos
The mandala exhibit at the Michael C. Carlos Museum will close April 15.
The exhibition displays different types of mandalas including paintings, three-dimensional works, portable mandalas, and ritual objects that are related to mandala ceremonies. The mandala, a Sanskrit word meaning “circle,” is one of Himalayan Buddhism's most ubiquitous symbols, is created as an artistic aid for meditation. Depicting a realm that is both complex and sacred, the mandala is a visualization tool meant to advance practitioners toward a state of enlightenment.

Water Line Protection Service
Service Line Warranties of America and the National League of Cities have teamed up to offer Atlanta residents affordable warranties on their water and sewer service lines. These are the lines from the utility connection to your house. If they break, the repairs are the homeowner’s responsibility and can easily run into thousands of dollars. With these warranties, which cost $4.95 per month for the water line and $5.50 per month for the sewer line, the worry is eliminated. If you have a problem, the company will contact a local plumber and handle any necessary permitting. The warranty also includes any digging up of the ground, sidewalk or street. To check it out, visit www.utilitysp.net or call 866-974-4801.
Easter Sunday
Sunday is Easter, and you might still have a chance to make a reservation for brunch or lunch at a restaurant in the neighborhood through Open Table.
