Live Coverage: Davis Meets With Grady, Jackson High Clusters

APS superintendent hears comments on his proposal for Grady and Jackson feeder schools

Patch is live at the community meeting with Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Erroll B. Davis, Jr.

Davis will field questions from parents and residents about his plans for the Grady High School and Jackson High School clusters.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Jackson High School, 801 Glenwood Ave. SE.

Davis, who released his plan March 4, recommended to close Coan Middle School and repurpose the building into a grade six academy for Inman Middle School.

Both communities have vehemently opposed the plan.

Area superintendent Betsy Bockman told Patch on Saturday the plan for the grade six academy at Coan is off the table.
