Genki VaHi has scheduled a Genki Gives Day for the Mike Maloo Foundation next Wednesday, August 29th. Every patron that comes in that day or night and tells their server to dedicate their meal, will have 10% dedicated to the Foundation. There will also be a collection plate for checks & cash donations that will go directly to the family.

Meanwhile, the atlanta police are busy pulling over dangerous drivers who didn't come to an absolute dead stop at virgiania and barnett so they can meet their quotas. Catching criminals doesn't pay, but pulling over yuppy moms in their volvo station wagons does.

I understand the frustration, but you can't turn on the police for continuing to enforce traffic laws. And generate fines - since tax revenue is down enormously with the recession. I would actually like to know why these angelic soccer moms aren't stopping at stop signs - or are they too busy talking and texting on their cellphones?

I'd prefer they beef up their evening patrol than beef up their stop sign patrol. The chances are much greater that someone else is going to be killed in VaHi or Inman in the near future from one of these robbings at gunpoint----ON A MAJOR STREET IN PLAIN VIEW like Tuesday night. There is no hesitation or fear on the part of these thugs. They clearly are not afraid they might be spotted by a patrolman.
