These pictures show the evolution of the Virginia-Highland triangle island at the corner of N. Highland Avenue and Virginia Avenue over the past few years.

The triangle is a landmark of VaHi at the neighborhood's main intersection.

All pictures are taken from the same angle so it's easy to see the improvement that's been made since 2009, most since this past spring.

It's encouraging to see what commitment on the part of the city and the VHCA and some dedicated work on the part of a few volunteers can accomplish.
