Travel Writer to Visit Emory

Adventure travel writer Lawrence Millman to give free reading

 

Adventure travel writer Lawrence Millman will give a free reading at Emory University next month.

Millman, author of eleven books including “Our Like Will Not Be There Again,” “Northern Latitudes,” “A Kayak Full of Ghosts” and “Lost in the Arctic,” will visit the Druid Hills campus on Feb. 6.

A book signing will follow the event.

Millman has made over forty trips to the Arctic and Subarctic and has studied fungi all over the world.

During his visit to Emory, Millman will also hold a colloquium on Tuesday, Feb. 7, to answer questions and discuss his life as a writer.

If you go: Reading and book signing, Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jones Room of the Woodruff Library. Colloquium, Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 2:30 p.m. in N301 Calloway Center, 537 Kilgo Cir. This event is free and open to the public.
