VaHi and Druid Hills to Host 5K Races
The Jig & Jog in Virginia Highland and the Red Devil Dash in Druid Hills are just around the corner.
Avid runners in Virginia Highland and Druid Hills won’t have to go too far to find a road race this month.
Both neighborhoods will host 5K races in March, starting with the Red Devil Dash in Druid Hills on Saturday, March 5. Virginia Highland will host O’Highlands Jig & Jog the following Saturday, March 12.
Red Devil Dash runners will meet at Druid Hills High School, 1798 Haygood Dr., and run through Emory’s Lullwater forest. Registration is $25 and proceeds from the race will benefit the Phillip Hicks Memorial Sportsmanship Award and the Druid Hills Athletic Foundation.
The popular St. Patrick’s Day-themed Jig & Jog begins at 8 a.m. at Doc Chey’s Noodle House, 1424 N. Highland Ave. Registration will end March 5 or when 500 people register, whichever comes first. Registration is $27 and proceeds will benefit a neighborhood charity.
