1. A Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Event
When/Where: Friday and Saturday, Midnight at Plaza Theatre, 1049 Ponce de Leon Ave.
Why Go: The Plaza Theatre already shows the Rocky Horror Picture Show every Friday night but this year an additional show has been added in celebration of Halloween. Fluff your boas, shine your sequins and lace up your corsets for this amazing two-night event! All your favorite Halloween treats will be available inside the theatre from the Lips Down on Dixie cast along with festive swag and raffle prizes. Additionally, the Carrollton, GA Rocky Horror Cast will be the Plaza's special guests, performing an amazing Pre-Show Opening Act.

2. Fernbank BOO-seum Trick-or-Treat
When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fernbank Museum of Natural History, 767 Clifton Rd.
Why Go: For one day only, Fernbank Museum is becoming Fernbank BOO-seum. Enjoy a frightening-ly fun Halloween party featuring games, crafts, hands-on activities and special treats for kids in costumes.
Price: All Fernbank BOO-seum activities are included with Museum admission and are free for members.
When/Where: Saturday, 4 p.m. at Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System: Ponce De Leon Branch, 980 Ponce de Leon Ave.
Why Go: Children ages 2-12 are invtied to join for coloring and Halloween crafts.
4. Scary Ride!
When/Where: Saturday, 8 p.m. at Schwartz Center for Performing Arts, 1700 N. Decatur Rd.
Why Go: "Count Dracula" (Timothy Albrecht) and his minions are back, amidst thunder, lightning, fog, gargoyles, and tombstones! Enjoy an under-an-hour-long recital of organ music with lots of spooky extras.

When/Where: Saturday, party begins at 9 p.m. at Atkins Park Tavern, 794 N. Highland Ave.
Why Go: Halloween continues at Atkins Park Tavern on Saturday, October 29 when DJ Lion starts spinning tunes at 9 p.m. Be sure to put on your best gear for the annual Costume Contest at the witching hour. Cash and prizes go to best individual costume and best group!

6. Costume Contest at The Family Dog
When/Where: Saturday, 10 p.m. at The Family Dog 1402 N. Highland Ave.
Why Go: First Annual Halloween Party. DJ starts spinning at 10 p.m.

7. Chamber of Horrors Haunted House
When/Where: Friday through Monday, 8 p.m. at The Masquerade, 695 North Ave.
Why Go: Chambers of Horror is Atlanta’s first and only extreme adults-only, R-rated haunted house. It is a shocking and twisted excursion through the TORTUREco facility, where the wealthy disaffected and psychotic sadists alike take their pleasure in rending the flesh of the young, beautiful, and innocent. No one under the age 18 permitted.

When/Where: Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m. at Cator Woolford Gardens, 1815 Ponce de Leon Ave.
Why Go: The Frazer Center Fall Festival is sure to please with a storyteller, live music, a clown, a bake sale, face painting, cookie decorating, Halloween bag decorating, food trucks, pony rides and much more!
Proceeds benefit The Frazer Center's Children's Programs.

9. 3rd Annual Fall Fling: Halloween Edition
When/Where: Sunday, 3 to 7 p.m. at The Masquerade, 695 North Ave.
Why Go: Join the Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy for the 3rd Annual Fall Fling: Halloween Edition dance party & costume contest! Come to the haunted Masquerade for live music by Z-Force & Generations, dancing, trick-or-treating, costume contest with $100 cash grand prize, a photo booth and more! Spooky fun for the whole family.
Price: $10 at the door; Free for Conservancy members and children under the age of 12
