Unless you want to move to a concrete jungle y'all are going to have to learn to coexist withRead Morewildli fe. In our Druid Hills neighborhood a lady's cat was killed, and some neighbors declared war on coyotes. The same trapper as in your neighborhood was hired to "remove" the coyotes. Instead, a dog out for a walk with its owner stepped into the trap, and the owner was injured trying to extract her screaming pet. We had a forum with coyote experts at the Fernbank Science Center and another at the Episcopal church to educate people. When one coyote is removed the others respond with more reproductive vigor than ever due to the now open den sites. Removing a few actually makes the problem worse. Please see http://coyotecoexistence.com/ for more information. And by the way, both Fulton and DeKalb counties prohibit "outdoor" cats or any free-roaming pet. You can be cited for violation. Cats are to be under supervision if they are outside, for their own protection, and for the protection of the wildlife that cats kill while on the loose. Sarah Pallas
