Alex Wan election night watch celebration

Alex Wan, who is seeking re-election to his District 6 Atlanta City Council seat, and his supporters will gather at district restaurant to watch results

Alex Wan, a long-time Morningside homeowner and civic leader who is seeking re-election to his Atlanta City Council District 6 post, invites his supporters to watch election results come in Tuesday, Nov. 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Colonnade Restaurant (www.ColonnadeATL.com).

“The Election Night Watch Celebration will be an opportunity for me to thank supporters who have given this campaign its strength and momentum,” Wan says. “We’ll watch election results come in and reflect on the work that has brought us to the end of a campaign of which I am proud.”

The campaign says appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be served, and a cash bar will be available. The Colonnade is located at 1879 Cheshire Bridge Road, 30324. Supporters are asked to use the banquet entrance, which will be marked with Wan campaign signs.

“We have confidence in Alex and in the fact that the good people of District 6 want him to continue his work on their behalf at City Hall,” says Ken Britt, who is chairing Wan’s campaign. “I look forward to a great gathering and, until then, continuing to push through to a strong finish.”

City Council District 6 encompasses much of Northeast Intown Atlanta, including Ansley Park, Atkins Park, Brookwood Hills (joins the district 01/01/2014), Candler Park (leaves the district 01/01/2014), Druid Hills, Lindbergh/Morosgo (joins the district 01/01/2014), Lindridge/Martin Manor, Midtown (part leaves 01/01/2014), Morningside/Lenox Park, Piedmont Heights, Sherwood Forest and Virginia-Highland.
