The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta has announced its programs for the remainder of May and June, which are open to the entire community. 

MJCCA Fall Youth Sports Registration
When:              Early sign up ends June 20. (Youth sports start in August.)

Where:            MJCCA at Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)

Details:            New this Fall: Rec Games for Boys & Girls Ages 7-11. Play a variety of sports without the pressure of league competition.

Traditional sports leagues include: Flag Football (Boys, 6-12), Soccer (Boys and Girls 3-14), Leagues fill quickly, secure your spot now!

Lag Ba’Omer Community Celebration & Cookout

When:              Sunday, May 18, 4:00 - 8:00 pm

Where:            MJCCA - Camp Isidore Alterman (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody)

Cost:                Free and open to the community (Food available for purchase)

                        All are invited to the annual Community Lag Ba'Omer Cookout and Celebration hosted by

the MJCCA and Congregation Ariel. The celebration will take place outside at the beautiful grounds of Camp Isidore Alterman. Activities will include: Boating & fishing on the lake, zip lining, obstacle course, archery, live music performance featuring the Fourth Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra, inflatables and bounce house, climbing wall, games, and more! Delicious kosher food will be available for purchase. Bring your friends!

Award-Winning Speaker, Author, and Visionary Joey Reiman to Speak at MJCCA

Details:           On Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 7:30 pm, the MJCCA presents a new speaker series titled,

ICONS: The People Who Change Our World,” which kicks off with Joey Reiman, founder and CEO of the global consultancy, BrightHouse, an Atlanta-based company. Reiman will discuss his most recent book, The Story of Purpose: The Path to Creating a Brighter Brand, a Greater Company, and a Lasting Legacy, with local TV Personality and Host Conn Jackson. Reiman was named by Fast Company Magazine as “One of the 100 people who will change the way the world thinks,” and is a brand expert known for putting the smile on the Pepperidge Farm goldfish cracker.

Dive Into Shabbat – Outdoor Pool Party at the MJCCA

Details:            Celebrate Shabbat outside at the MJCCA's pool and splash park with family and friends. Shabbat songs and blessings with Rabbi Glusman begin at 6:00 pm. Bring your own picnic or purchase Kosher food directly from the outdoor grill.

Details:            The entire community is invited to enjoy our beautiful outdoor pool and splash park! The day will feature music by DJ Play it Again Sammy, a special appearance by The Dunwoody "Mermaids," and FREE ice pops and door prizes. Kosher food and snacks will be available for purchase at Goodfriend's Outdoor Grill.
