Why Go: Taste for Theatre is the annual wine tasting and silent auction garden party benefiting 7 Stages Theatre. Taste for Theatre is 7 Stages largest annual special event fundraiser helping to Stages continue the rich legacy of involvement in local, national and international theatre while helping shape the future of American theatre.  Each season, subject matter varies from international social and political turmoil, contemporary health crises, the ethical implications of new technologies and group and individual identity as seen through the lens of gender, race and religion.

Price: $50.00 in advance, $60.00 at the door, $100.00 VIP in advance only

When/Where:  Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m. at , 801 Virginia Ave. NE

Why Go: The annual festival in Virginia-Highland features samplings from more than 25 neighborhood restaurants, drinks, and live music. Benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. 

Price: $40

3. 

When/Where:  Saturday, 10 am. to 2 p.m. at , 767 Clifton Rd. NE

Why Go: Scheduled events include music, games and prizes with friends from Radio Disney AM 590, Recycled Craft Corner, Pirate or Princess Name Generator, Temporary Tattoos, Kidsville Guest News Appearance, Storytelling and a Museum Scavenger Hunt.

Price: Activities included in museum admission ($15.50 for children over 2-years-old, $17.50 for adults); Free for museum members

4. 

When/Where:  Saturday and Sunday, 11 am. to 5 p.m. at , 2329 Cheshire Bridge Rd. NE

Why Go: Ruffus Rescue, an all-volunteer dog rescue group, holds a dog adoption event  every Saturday and Sunday. Dogs are rescued from shelters all over north Georgia and are looking for new homes. All are spayed or neutered, vaccinate and microchipped and are in foster homes until  permanent homes can be found.

When/Where: Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at , 794 N. Highland Ave. NE

Why Go: Proceeds benefit Team in Training Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The day will also feature live music from Homefront, cold beer from Sweetwater Brewery, lunch and dinner specials cooked in the Big Green Egg and a raffle! 

Price: $25 per person for a single entry ($50 for a team of two)
