Why Go: One of the Nation's largest free jazz festivals. Lineup Saturday includes J C Young Middle School Jazz Ensemble, Rialto’s MAYWE Jazz Ensemble, Audrey ShakirWarren Wolf Quintet and Regina Carter's "Reverse Thread." Lineup Sunday includes Rialto Jazz for Kids, Sean Jones Quintet, Gerald Clayton Trio, and Ninety Miles featuring Stefon Harris, David Sanchez & Christian Scott

Why Go: Celebrate neighborhood bars that opened before 1970-- , , , and . The bars featured on the tour will offer menu specials available at the prices they were sold for in 1960's. Meet in the Back Parking Lot behind Atkins Park Tavern under the tent. Enter from St. Charles Ave or Greenwood Ave.

Price: $10 in advance, $20 at the door; Admission includes a t-shirt, plus discounts on SoCo Lime shots and Miller High Life beer. 

3. “Man Without A Team”

When/Where: Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at , 

Why Go: Last chance to see the exhibit of drawings by Sam Parker. “The work in this exhibit is an exploration of my personal belief system,” the artist said. “I have created a set of mythic symbols to represent social issues such as isolation and alienation. I’ve also focused on man’s internal struggle between being creative and subservient in this age of information technology.”

Price: Free, Open to All

Why Go: As a part of the Decatur Arts Festival, the Artists Market features more than 160 artists selected through a competitive jury process. The market is known for its high quality of artwork and attracts artists from all over the southeast and beyond.
