Five Things To Do This Weekend

Tango Night, Ponce Fest and much more

When/Where: Friday, 8:00 p.m. at , 980 Briarcliff Rd. NE

Why Go: Dancers will learn about the rhythm and movement of Argentine Tango and how to focus on connecting with the music and their partner.  Dancers of all skill levels are welcome and no partner is necessary.  The evening begins with an introductory lesson from the expert instructors of Tango Rio.  After the introductory lesson, dancers will be ready to try out their new moves with an open tango dance party, beginning at 9:15 pm. Soft drinks and light snacks will be provided.  Tickets are sold at the door.

Why Go: Enjoy two days of juried art, crafts, music and delicious local food at the brand new Festival on Ponce.

Why Go: Explore the fabulous interior of the Fox Theatre, one of the few remaining exotic movie palaces of the 1920's.

Price: $10 for adults; $5 for students and seniors (60+); Free to APC members.

When/Where: Sunday, 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at , 828 N. Highland Ave.

Why Go: A benefit for bartender Jessica Miller, who was injured in an accident this summer. Doors open at 2 p.m. Music from 2:30 p.m. to Midnight. Buffet from 3 to 7 p.m.

Price: $10 minimum donation includes buffet

Why Go: Santa and his Jäger elves will be there to pass out fun giveaways, and there will be Christmas cookies for everyone to enjoy. Atlantans can take a break from the scorching heat with refreshing Jäger snow cones.
