Rosebud and The Family Dog to Aid Hurricane Sandy Victims

Supermodel Heidi Klum is lending her efforts to affected victims and families of Superstorm Sandy by distributing relief today, Dec. 2, at a location on Long Island, in partnership with the American Red Cross, AOL, and Patch.

Klum's efforts are a reminder that these communities still need help rebuilding. Locally, Morningside's Rosebud and The Family Dog are teaming up with High Road Craft Ice Cream & Sorbet for “New York State of Mind" fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims.  

Originally from Long Island, New York, Ron Eyester, executive chef and owner of Rosebud and The Family Dog, and Keith Schroeder, executive chef of High Road Craft Ice Cream & Sorbet, were devastated by the destruction that Sandy left behind, and in an effort to give back, they are hosting a fundraiser benefitting Hurricane Sandy victims.

On Saturday, December 8, 2012, guests will enjoy a New York inspired night of food and live music. New York favorites, such as pastrami sandwiches, chicken parmesan, pizza, hot dogs and other New York inspired items will be spread throughout, along with a variety of cocktails, including a Long Island Iced Tea signature drink. Fellow New Yorker, radio personality Mara Davis will emcee the event, where 100 percent of the total proceeds of the night will be donated to benefit the families affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Other ways to help Sandy victims is to Ddonate to the American Red Cross, Long Island Cares, or Island Harvest.
