Saturday Tree-Planting Volunteer Opportunity in Piedmont Park

Join Piedmont Park Conservancy and Trees Atlanta on Saturday to plant 100 trees at the park.

Saturday's weather looks to be great with temperaturrealigning the 70s and just a 20 percent chance of rain in the forecast. Sounds like the perfect opportunity to get out and plant a tree!

Join Piedmont Park Conservancy and Trees Atlanta on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., to plant the first 100 of 250 donated trees in the new Northwoods Expansion of Piedmont Park.

This event is open to the public and all volunteers 13 years and older are welcome.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Piedmont Park Maintenance Facility, located at the end of Westminster Dr. accessed from Piedmont Ave. NE.

For more information contact the manager of volunteer services at volunteer@piedmontpark.org.

Since its beginnings in 1985, the primary goals of Trees Atlanta have been to replace trees lost to development, conserve existing trees, protect green space areas, and educate the community’s residents and workers regarding the many benefits of trees.
