Street Closures Sunday in Virginia-Highland, Morningside, Druid Hills

The Atlanta Marathon will send 2,500 runners through scenic Atlanta neighbhorhoods Sunday morning, including Virginia-Highland, Morningside and Druid Hills.

The following roads will be closed for the race:

• Jackson Street from Irwin Street to Highland Ave., Right side of road; 7:50 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
• Highland Ave. from Jackson Street to Elizabeth Street, Right side of road; 7:50 a.m to 10:30 a.m.
• Highland Ave. from Elizabeth Street to Drewry Street, Right side of road; 7:55 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
• Highland Ave. from Drewry Street to Virginia Ave., Right side of road; 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
• Virginia Ave. from Highland Ave. to Park Drive, Right side of road; 8:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.
• Park Drive from Virginia Ave. to Piedmont Park, Entire Road; 8:05 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• Enter Piedmont Park off of Park Drive / Exit at 14 Street and Piedmont Ave.; 8:05 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.
• Piedmont Road from 14th Street to E. Morningside Drive, (1) Right lane; 8:10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• E. Morningside Drive from Piedmont Road to E. Rock Spring Road, Right side of road; 8:15 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.
• E. Rock Spring Road from E. Morningside Drive to Johnson Road; Right side of road, 8:20 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
• Johnson Road from E. Rock Spring Road to Briarcliff Road, Right side of Road; 8:20 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Briarcliff Road from Johnson Road to Shepherds Lane, Left side of road; 8:20 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Shepherds Lane from Briarcliff Road to LaVista Road, Entire Road; 8:25 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.
• LaVista Road from Shepherds Lane to Cheshire Bridge Road, Right side of road; 8:30 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.
• Lindbergh Drive from Cheshire Bridge Road to Peachtree Hills Ave., Right side of road 8:35 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.
