Virginia-Highland Mentioned Among Most Popular American Neighborhoods

Virginia-Highland neighborhood was mentioned in yet another national blog this week.

The neighborhood was mentioned in The Atlantic Cities list of America’s most popular neighborhoods that locals choose to live.

Known for unique walk-ability and fabulous local shops and restaurants, Virginia-Highland was listed among Chicago’s West Town/Wicker Park, San Francisco’s Diamond Heights/Glen Park and Miami’s Key Biscayne, among others.

One of the most interesting insights is a list of popular neighborhoods for locals. When out-of-towners search for a new home, they tend to look at the best-known (and priciest) neighborhoods: New York’s Tribeca, Los Angeles’s Beverly Hills and Georgetown in Washington, D.C. Locals, on the other hand, tend to seek out housing in trendy (but less famous) 'hoods.
