Volunteers Needed for Piedmont Park's Clean & Green Team, Office Work for Local Theatre

Want to do something worthwhile with your free time? Did you make a New Year's resolution to give back to your community? Here are opportunities for you to make a difference in VaHi:

• Piedmont Park- Clean & Green Conservancy Team: Help keep Piedmont Park a beautiful greenspace for everyone! As of Tuesday morning, at least three more volunteers are needed for Saturday's workday from 9 a.m. to noon. Get full details here.
• Theatre of the Stars is looking for two volunteers to help in the Contracting and General Management Departments. Duties include working on contracts, filing, data entry and clerical work. Two schedule options. Parking provided if necessary. Get full details here.
• Discovery Program at Intown Academy: Two more volunteers are needed for the Discovery Program, volunteer-led Saturday morning (9:30 a.m. to noon) tutoring program that offers one-on-one and small group enrichment activities for children. Get details and sign up here.

• Handy with Websites? Communities in Schools of Atlanta need a volunteer to help maintain its website and help manage image files and prepare them for publishing on the CIS of Atlanta website. A familiarity with image files, formats, and properties is desired.  Specific web design and/or web maintenance skills are not required. Commitment of about two to five hours each week; three to six month commitment preferred. Details.

• Open Hand is looking for help with meal delivery. Volunteers may deliver individually or in groups. Volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver meals out in the community. Open Hand provides extremely detailed driving directions and a 30-minute delivery training. Although this volunteer opportunity is available almost any day, the greatest need is on weekends.
