Poetry reading by Don Paterson

Weds. April 11 @ 6 pm/Jones Room: One of Scotland’s most acclaimed poets, Don Paterson is the author of several collections of poetry, most recently Rain (2009), winner of the Forward Prize; Orpheus (2006); and Landing Light (2003). “Ask any reader of British poetry to identify who is doing the best work right now, and you should get short odds on the answer being Don Paterson,” writes the Boston Review. A fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, Paterson has won the Whitbread Poetry Prize, the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Award, and the T.S. Eliot Prize. He received the OBE in 2008 and the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry in 2010. An active composer and performer, he teaches poetry at the University of St. Andrews. Books and a limited-edition broadside will be available for purchase and signing. Light refreshments will be served after the reading.
