International Food & Musical Festival Next Weekend

The festival will feature multicultural cuisine and entertainment.

The DeKalb International Food and Music Festival returns on Oct. 19, noon to 6  p.m. at Northlake Mall in Tucker. 

Coordinated by Commissioner Stan Watson, the festival will feature cuisine and entertainment from around the world. “We are excited to bring back the DeKalb International Food and Music Festival and I am confident that the festival will unite the dynamic blend of cultures and traditions that continue to exist in our county,” Watson said.

Co-chairs for the festival include representatives from the Asian, European, West Indian, Middle Eastern, Hispanic and African communities.

“As Georgia’s most diverse county, we are proud to have numerous cultural groups call DeKalb home; this event is a great look at DeKalb’s vibrant population, traditions and cultures,” said DeKalb CEO Lee May.

The event will include cultural, educational and entertainment activities for residents of all ages; samples of multicultural cuisine and retail vendors highlighting their countries' markets.

Admission and parking are free, but the interactive Children’s Village - with bouncy houses, puppet shows, and face painting - has a one-time, all-day admission cost of $10.
