Writing Lectures at Manuel's Set for July, August

This Month and Next at Manuel's Tavern: Marc Fitten's Yale Lectures

Last month, Marc Fitten served on the faculty at the Yale Writer's Conference along with novelists Tom Perrotta, Julia Glass, John Crowley and others. Now back home in Atlanta, Marc is offering non-Yalies the opportunity to hear the lectures he delivered there. While sharing a beer.

For four consecutive weeks, Marc will hold forth in the Eagle's Nest at for the benefit of aspiring writers, fans or anyone else interested in learning about the the process of writing fiction from one of our city's finest practitioners

You may attend as many of the four lectures as you would like. The cost is $20 for one lecture, $35 for two, $45 for three and $50 for all four. All attendees will receive a signed copy of Marc's latest work, Elza's Kitchen.

First Lecture: The Narrative Thrust
Monday, July 30, 7 p.m.

Second Lecture: Character and the Prisoner's Dilemma
Monday, August 6, 7 p.m.

Third Lecture: Understanding Story Structure
Monday, August 13, 7 p.m.

Fourth Lecture: The Business of Publishing
Tuesday, August 21, 7 p.m.
