Emory Conference Center Hotel Recognized as Green Hotel

Emory Conference Center Hotel was given the Achievement Award for Good Earthkeeping by the American Hotel & Lodging Association

was recognized as a green hotel by the American Hotel & Lodging Association this month.

The Clifton Road hotel is Atlanta's first LEED-Silver Certified sustainable Conference Center Hotel.

It is the only hotel in Georgia that has a single-stream recycling unit, which centralizes all recycling. Food waste is turned into gray water; waste oils are converted in bio-diesel and then used as fuel for transportation at Emory University.

The hotel was given the Achievement Award on Monday, June 18, for Good Earthkeeping in the large property category.
