Mi Casa Su Casa: Day of the Dead

Unlike the macabre festivities in many parts of the world, the Mexican celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is one of laughter, family gatherings and fond memories of loved ones who have passed on.

El Taco’s final Mi Casa Su Casa communal dinner of the year captures that spirit with a variety of foods that are often a part of the day of remembrance and celebration. Complex chicken mole and hand-made tamales in banana leaf represent the time-consuming preparations to express love. Seasonal specialties like candied pumpkin, sugar skulls and the traditional bread pan de muertos are staples, while spicy shrimp diablas and shredded pork tostadas are examples of the favorite foods of a departed loved one, offered up as a show of respect and admiration.

So, join El Taco on Tuesday, November 1 at 6:30pm for an opportunity to honor past loved ones while enjoying a delicious, authentic Mexican family-style dinner—all for only $30/person (plus tax and gratuity). For reservations, call 404.873.4656 today.
