"As a hospitality entrepreneur, my goal is to stay on the forefront of food trends," Lim said. "From frozen yogurt to waffle sandwiches, my passion lies in introducing new concepts and tastes to new markets. Atlanta’s diverse and progressive food culture makes the city a natural location to roll out innovative ideas, and I believe that diners will welcome the Waffold concept with great enthusiasm."

The restaurant will offer walk-up counter service with seating inside and outside.

Waffold will not carry beer or wine, but patrons wishing to enjoy an alcoholic beverage can bring his or her own.

The grand opening is set for July 31.
