Last Call for the Steady Hand Pour House

Though it previously announced its plans to close last month, the Steady Hand Pour House did not say when.

But over the weekend, the coffeehouse at 1593 North Decatur Road in Emory Village made its last pour official: April 24.

But the owners behind the coffee bar aren't totally out; they promise to reopen in some fashion in the near future somewhere else.

It notified its customers on the shop's Facebook page:

"We are saddened by having to leave Emory Village but we will find a way to serve you. We have some exciting news on the horizon and we can't wait to finalize everything and tell you. Stay tuned...

Thank you everyone for all of the love and support you've shown us. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and love for all of you and wish we could stay at 1593 but that's just how things go sometimes. We love you.

We hope you can make it by the pour house before we have to relocate and take in the crazy, cramped, loud and fun as hell atmosphere one last time. The next couple of weeks are going to a blast!"

The operators of Steady Hand announced in a previous Facebook message that they were being forced to move to make way for a new brewhouse that will occupy the Steady Hand space as well as the former Everybody's Pizza space. The new business, Slice & Pint, will be run by the owner and brewmaster of 5 Seasons Brewing Co.
