Surin Of Thailand Fails Restaurant Inspection

The popular Thai restaurant in the heart of Virginia-Highland was cited for a range of issues, including cleanliness of food-prep surfaces, food-thawing methods, and proper labeling and dating of foods. Surin has gotten scores ranging from 80-89 in the previous four inspections.

A food service establishment that is graded as a “U” is subject to re-inspection within 10 days. It a restaurant does not earn at least a grade “C” at the re-inspection, it will be asked to voluntarily close until all violations are corrected and/or enforcement action may be taken to suspend or revoke the food service permit.
