2011 State Obesity Map Available Online
More than one-third of U.S. adults (35-percent) are obese, according to the CDC
The Centers for Disease Control released the 2011 state obesity map, which shows adult obesity across the United States.
The South had the highest prevalence of adult obesity (29.5 percent), followed by the Midwest (29 percent), the Northeast (25.3 percent) and the West (24.3 percent).
About 28 percent of Georgia residents are obese.
