Car Break-in At Fraser Center

Anybody parking at the Fraser Center is urged to not leave valuables inside their autos.

The Fraser Center at at 1815 S. Ponce de Leon Ave. recently warned people parking nearby to be careful about auto break-ins. On July 19 the center sent out this message to members of the Fraser Community.

Unfortunately, another car was broken into yesterday in our main parking area. At approximately 3:20pm Thursday, July 18, a parent who had luggage in the back of her car ran in the Center to pick up her child.  When she came out, her window was smashed and the luggage was gone.

  • In this incident, it was a silver, older model, Mercedes SUV backed into a space.  There was a single, younger African American man seated in it. If you see them, please notify our front desk immediately and we will take appropriate steps.
  • We have asked Druid Hills Patrol to come through our lot more frequently, especially between 7:30-9:00am and 3:30-6:00pm.
  • Please do not visibly leave purses, briefcases, luggage, electronics of any sort, or packages in your car, even if you're running in and out of the Center quickly.

We continue to explore options to abate these incidents as soon as possible.  If you have possible solutions that we may not have thought of, please feel free to send them our way.
