CDC: More Teens Using Condoms

More teens using protection, CDC study says

A study released this week by the found that more teens are using condoms.

The study found that eight in 10 teen men used a condom when having sex for the first time, an increase of 9-percent from 2002. The study also found that 16-percent of teen men used a condom in combination with a partner’s hormonal method, up 6-percent from 2002.

Between 2006 and 2010, roughly 78-percent of women and 85-percent of men used some type of contraceptive when having sex for the first time, according to the study.
