Five Things To Do This Week

Here are some fun and educational events going on this week in the Virginia Highland and Druid Hills communities.


Associated Press Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll will speak on the topic: Dateline Pyongyang: The Associated Press and the Opening of North Korea. The event is Monday, Oct. 1, at 4 pm, in the Robert Woodruff Library at Emory University. The AP is the first international news organization with a full-time presence in North Korea.


The Emory Farmers' Market is open on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at noon, at Cox Hall Food Court at Emory University, 201 Dowman Dr NE.


First aid and CPR classes are being held all this week at 1874 Piedmont Avenue.


It's Family Storytime at the Atlanta Public Library's Ponce de Leon Branch on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 10:45 am.


And an Open House Comedy event is set for Weds., Oct 3, at 9m, at the Warren City Club.
