  • TASTE OF INMAN 2011

When/Where: Thursday evening from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at .

Why Go: All are welcome to attend this dining extravaganza.  Join your neighbors, fill your plate, and feed your family with food from over twenty area restaurants.  

Pricing: Night of tickets are $10.00 for children and $20.00 for adults.  All proceeds benefit the Inman Middle School PTA.

  • KIDS YOGA CLASS

When/Where: On Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 11:15am at Kashi Atlanta.

Why Go: Only a short drive away on McClendon Ave, this is a great way to start your Saturday.  Take a class while your children (ages 6 years old and up) attend their own class.  This ancient practice of exercise, breath work and meditation is terrific for all ages.  

Pricing: Drop in cost for Kids Yoga is $10.00 and $14.00 for adult yoga classes.

  • STORYTELLING WITH ROB CLEVELAND

When/Where: Saturday at noon at .

Why Go: Enjoy this monthly program featuring Fernbank’s storyteller-in-residence, Rob Cleveland, as he entertains with stories about the natural world.  Also when you visit, don’t miss Weekends at the Naturalist Center, featuring a variety of family-friendly activities.

Pricing: Included with the price of museum admission- Adults $15.00; Students and Seniors (62+) with ID $14.00; Children 3-12 $13.00; Children 2 and under (ticket required) FREE.

  • MONSTERS, DEMONS, AND WINGED-BEASTS: COMPOSITE CREATURES IN THE ANCIENT WORLD.

When/Where: Daily (closed Mondays) at the .

Why Go: This new exhibit, which explores the richly-imagined creatures of ancient Greece, features monsters your children don’t need to fear. If it’s a sunny day, enjoy a walk around the Emory campus - or head to Emory Village for a bite to eat after your visit.

Pricing: Included with the price of Museum admission- Adults $8.00; Students, Seniors, and Children ages 6 to 17 $6.00. (Children ages 5 and under are free.)
