When/Where: Thursday through Saturday from 8:10pm - 10:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta’s downstairs theatre.  (Also plays the 31st through the 2nd of April.)

Why Go: This classic family comedy centered on a father and his three teenaged girls including Ginger, who wants to play football, is presented by The Underground Theatre. A great night out for you and your tweens and teens.

Pricing: Thursdays and Fridays: Adults $13.00 general admission, $15.00 prime reserved seating; $8.00  students. Saturdays: All tickets $15.00 general admission, $17.00 prime reserved seating.

  • MARY LIN ELEMENTARY HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR

When/Where: Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at .

Why Go:  Take care of Friday dinner for the family with nutritious food from local food trucks.  The event will also include a Bike Rodeo, a bike raffle, a student-led Mary Lin garden tour and tasting, fitness and nutrition activities, and recycling relays.

Pricing:  Free to attend.  Food truck prices will vary.

  • CALLANWOLDE EMERGING VOICES SERIES

When/Where: Friday evening at 7:00pm at in The Retreat at .

Why Go: An evening out for the whole family - storyteller LaDoris Bias-Davis has coordinated this Emerging Voices storytelling evening featuring the Charles R. Drew Charter School Performers.  

Pricing:  And the admission price is hard to beat...Adults $3.00 and Children $1.00 at the door.

When/Where: Saturday in  with the 5K beginning at 8:00am and the stroller division of the 5K beginning at 8:10am.

Why Go: This race includes a mother/daughter team category - so if your ready to run and your daughter is over 8 years old - sign up!  Top team in this category will receive a gift card as will the top three racers in each age group.  All participants will receive an Atlanta Women's 5K performance shirt and a flower.  *If you aren’t ready to run, come out with a coffee and cheer the women and girls on (and get inspired for next year) - then head over to the Candler Park playground for a great start to your Saturday.

Pricing: $30.00 (REGISTRATION ENDS WEDNESDAY AT 11:59PM.)

When/Where:  Saturday in Fernbank Forest.  Contact for start time.

Why go: This is a great volunteer project to do as a family and DeKalb students receive community service hours required for graduation.  Help in Fernbank Forest (a 65-acre mature mixed hardwood forest) removing exotic and invasive plant species and with other labor as necessary.  This is a monthly event and as always, in case of inclement weather, the volunteer day will occur on the following Saturday.

Pricing: Free.
