Neighborhood Places 2nd in Cheer Zone Contest

The Poncey-Highland neighborhood came in second in the Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon cheer zone competition.

The Poncey-Highland Neighborhood Association has won $1,000 for a second-place finish in the Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon cheering competition.

The funds will be used to support neighborhood projects. According to the race website, past winners have used the money for garden and landscaping initiatives, playground equipment improvements, development of walking trails and parks, youth fitness programs and pedestrian sidewalks.
