1. Virginia Highland Civic Association Board and General Meeting. Meet your neighbors at 7 p.m. Monday at the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System: Ponce De Leon Branch at 980 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta.

3. Poetry reading. Rebecca Baggett and Diana Pinckney will share their work at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center at 980 Briarcliff Road NE, Atlanta. $5.

4. Morningside Farmer's Market. Stock up on fresh produce. The market opens at 7:30 a.m. Saturay at 1393 N Highland Ave. NE, Atlanta. Free admission.

5. Publix Georgia Marathon. Runners in the full and half marathons will pass through some of Virginia Highland's neighborhoods on Sunday morning. It's free to watch.
