The Week Ahead in Virginia Highland-Druid Hills

You can take a bus to the Braves' home opener, have fun at a block party, attend an art exhibit opening, learn about the International Space Station and shop for locally grown produce.

Here are five things to know about the coming week. For a full list of ideas, go to the Patch calendar of events.

1. Atkins Park bus trip to the Braves opener. For $50, you get a game ticket, hotdogs and chips, Yager, beer and a round trip bus ride to the Braves home opener against the Phillies. The bus leaves the restaurant at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

2. Floataway's First Fridays. The restaurant at 1123 Zonolite Road NE is starting a series of block parties at 5:30 p.m. Friday with food, drink and art exhibits. Free admission.

3. Art opening. An exhibit by Jaynie Crimmins opens Friday at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, 980 Briarcliff Road NE, with an artist's reception from 7-9 p.m. Exhibit runs through May 24. Free admission.

4. The Final Frontier. Learn about the International Space Station at this awareness campaign that promotes research opportunities and educates communities. 10 a.m. Saturday at 156 Heaton Park Drive NE. Free.

5. Morningside Farmer's Market. Buy locally grown produce starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at 1393 N. Highland Ave. NE.
