The Week Ahead in Virginia Highland-Druid Hills

You can meet your neighbors at the Virginia Highland Civic Association, learn about the practicalities of caregiving, find bargains at the YMCA yard sale, attend the Spring Festival on Ponce and meet farmers at Yeah! Burger.

1. Virginia Highland Civic Association Board and General Meeting. Talk about community concerns at 7 p.m. Monday at the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System at the Ponce De Leon Branch, 980 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE.

2. Practical resources for caregiving. Emory Center for Rehabiliation Medicine is hosting this event 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at its offices at 1441 Clifton Road NE, Room 101. Some of the subjects are advance directives and guardianships/conservatorships. Free.

3. YWCA parents' yard sale. Find great bargains starting at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at the YWCA at 957 N. Highland Ave. NE. Free admission.

4. Spring Festival on Ponce. The spring version of this twice yearly festival takes place Saturday and Sunday along historic Olmsted Linear Park and includes arts and crafts. Free admission.

5. Meet the farmers and the animals. The people from the Capria Gia Cheese Company and JB Farm Fresh Eggs will introduce you to their goats and chickens from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Yeah! Burger at 1017 N. Highland Ave. Free admission.
