Three-Legged Virginia Highland Cat Badly Needs A Home

The loss of her family has left Lady Cat all alone, and in desperate need of a home.

Virginia Highland-Druid Hills Patch recently learned of this little cat's predicament, and we're hoping you can help:

"I have a very sweet 12 year old kitty named Lady Cat. Lady Cat belongs to my friend who recently lost both her parents last Sunday (two separate incidents if you can believe it). My friend is only 23, has a young daughter, and is a full-time student. Because her parents were renting, we have to clear out the two homes within the next few weeks and must find this kitty a forever home. Due to financial constraints and the sudden circumstances that have fallen upon her, my friend and her daughter will be living with me. I am unable to take in the cats due to my dogs. We have exhausted all shelter options and personal references.

"Cat is small, and is black and white. She only has 3 legs but is able to get around very well. She is very shy at first but is loving once she gets to know you. She is an INDOOR CAT ONLY. We will provide a fresh box of liter, food, and toys. We also have an automatic litter box with two replacement cartridges. In addition, we have an opened box of flea medicine, two extra-large liter boxes, and a small traveling crate.

"I know it is very hard to place animals now-a-days, and one that is of this age, but we are desperate to find this baby a home. Due to the loss of both parents, I cannot imagine this poor young lady having to take her mother's kitty to county animal control. If anyone could please consider adopting the cat or at least fostering till we can find more permanent living arrangements for my friend, that would mean the world."
