Renowned architect and designer of the award-winning Memoiral to the Six Million at Greenwood Cemetery, Ben was born in Germany and was an eyewitness, as a child, to the desecration and burning of his synagogue on Kristallnacht. He narrowly escaped the Holocaust in a Kindertransport mission which ultimately brought him and four of his siblings to Atlanta.
