Once a month on select Saturdays, the Carlos Museum presents Artful Stories- geared for children ages 3-5 years old. Children (and their accompanying adult) are invited to the museum galleries to hear stories while surrounded by works of art.
After the story, the group moves to the Tate Room to participate in activities based on the story and the cultures represented in the galleries.
During this month's event:
"Find out what happens when Zeus gets a headache in the story “Athena and the Olive Tree,” from a collection of myths by award-winning author Geraldine McCaughrean. After searching for Athena among the works of art in the Greek galleries, sample olives and olive oil, and take home a live olive tree from Georgia Olive Farms."
Reservations are required for this free event.
