Martinis & IMAX Kicks Off 2014 with Two New Films, Later Times and More Entertainment

From a giant movie screen to a hip social scene, Martinis & IMAX® features a unique mix of culture and cocktails in a casually cool setting. On Friday evenings Fernbank Museum of Natural History comes alive with music and movies as people gather for Martinis & IMAX. Atlanta’s Friday night staple features live entertainment, signature cocktails and small plates, and a film on the biggest screen in town. Martinis & IMAX will return this January 2014 with two new films: Jerusalem, starting on January 3, and Journey to the South Pacific, starting on January 24.

Along with its new movies, Martinis & IMAX will now start a later time, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with live entertainment starting at 7:30 p.m. Films in the IMAX Theatre will start at 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Ready to get funky? For a limited time, Martinis & IMAX will host monthly Funky Fridays, the first Friday of each month. Highlighting some of Atlanta’s premier funk bands, Cadillac Jones will kick off the series on January 3. Martinis & IMAX will also continue to offer monthly Salsa Dance Nights, in partnership with the Salsambo Dance Studio. For more information regarding Martinis & IMAX, visit www.fernbankmuseum.org/
